NRA president: ‘The AR-15 is the musket of today’

NRA President David Keene, speaking to The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas, compared the modern AR-15 to the muskets in American homes at the time of the American Revolution.
“This nation was founded as a result of the fact that people – citizens – who had a musket above the fireplace grabbed the gun when an emergency confronted them. For 4 million Americans, the AR-15 is the musket of today.”

Busting the High-Capacity Magazine Myth

Emily Miller, senior editor and Second Amendment blogger at The Washington Times, speaks with Cam Edwards about the second article in her four-part series on dispelling gun myths entitled, "The High-Capacity Magazine Myth." Miller explains that politicians are deliberately misusing language to deceive the public; such as describing any magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds as "high capacity." Miller notes that this misleading language appears to be very effective on the state level, with one study showing 60 percent of Americans supporting a "high-capacity" magazine ban.
